The Izola Declaration has been adopted on the 11th of May 2021 by the high-level political representatives of the AII/EUSAIR participating countries at the Adriatic Ionian Council/ EUSAIR Ministerial meeting.

The Adriatic and Ionian Fora of Chambers of Commerce, Universities and Cities and their members, in cooperation with Adriatic and Ionian Initiative – Chairmanship of the Republic of Slovenia – and the AII Permanent Secretariat organize three online Round Tables as Side-Events within the framework of the 6th EUSAIR Forum.

The 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, organised by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Commission with the support of the EUSAIR Facility Point will be held on May 11-12, 2021.     

On 26 April 2021, the AII Secretary General, Amb. Giovanni Castellaneta, took part in the parliamentary workshop “Western Balkans: between multipolarism and the European integration process”.

On 15 April 2021, the National Assembly hosted the 17th Conference of the Presidents/Speakers of Parliaments of the Adriatic and Ionian Initiative (AII), organised in the framework of Slovenia’s one-year AII Chairmanship (from June 2020 to May 2021). Considering the epidemiological situation, the event took place online.
